How a small thing gets really big one signal, two states, two cascades
Moving boxes appear outside an office. Two people see them — the same signal,
the same engine. But an individual is a state: a ranking of needs, a set of driving forces,
a capacity to absorb a hit. In one state the engine turns boxes into a claim and the red thread runs;
in the other the engine runs too — and returns the boxes to being boxes. The state travels with the
claim: the same mortgage that primed the engine is what the economic layer's hold grips, four stops
later. The damage is decided by the route — and the route is opened by the state.

Honest limits. The rumour is invented — a teaching run on real machinery, not a case file
(the blog series carries the same flag). The register units shown at each stop are real rows from the
verified register, placed here by fit to the trace — placements are a proposal for review, not settled.
Layer marks are placeholders for the layer graphics. By these measures this was a small cascade —
most signals die like this. It survived exactly where no release machinery exists.

What this is
Concept, not design. A horizontal route, engines working the signal at each stop, real register
tiles where they fire, the fates line, the never-engaged layers as the closing argument.
New in v0.1 — the state fork. An individual is a state, not a fixed machine. Two people meet the
same signal with the same engine: A's state opens the route, B's state closes it at the first stop. The
state then travels with the claim and decides which distant layers can grip it (the mortgage at L7).
B stays a thin grey exit on purpose — a second full route would double the density and kill the glance.
Decisions taken (all reversible)
Carrying example — the moving-boxes rumour, exactly as traced panel-by-panel in part four. In/Turning/Out per stop is lifted from your published text.
Tile language reused from Map B — same strips, symbols, hatched defence (SaM carries one on the route). The two maps read as one system.
The red thread = bias-in-motion, dashed + arrowhead + halo, per the palette law. Its only appearance.
